Weaned on Mom's Beatles collection and Dad's Secret Downstairs Stash of Albums (Cream, Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Doors) Dan always dreamed of being a Major Rock Sensation. Stymied by the lack of Important Places to Play in southwest New Hampshire, he drifted for a time. While in a drunken fog at a Shanghai dive during a stint in the Merchant Marine, the spectral image of John Entwistle appeared to him and spoke four simple words: "Use the Bass, Dan..." Several months and many painful tattoo removals later, he washed ashore in San Francisco. When not enjoying his single drink ticket (good for domestic beer only) at Major Venues citywide, Dan can be found listening to Frank Zappa, Tool, Stanley Clarke, Radiohead and Rage, defending the merits of Velveeta, and keeping Republicans at bay with a sharp stick.
